Euphoria is a Poonton Boat -a flat-bottomed recreational boat – of American production of the yard HARRYS KAJOT of 7.50 m.

Purchased by Carani, refurbishing and adapted to the purposes, it has been certified by R.I.N.A. for the transport of 12 passengers, or 4 disabled people with their carers, with certified skippers on board and, on request, a health professional specialized in disability.

Today it is the only boat that allows the disabled to live the experience on the sea in total autonomy. In this way arrival, location and exit will be movements made in freedom, to enjoy the navigation in a performing way.

Equipped with an opening on the prow that, by means of a slide, also allows disabled people to safely access and settle next to their carer or family member, has rescue and safety means for all people on board and, through a lineup of ascent, it is also possible to go down into the water.

The awnings protect guests from the sun and can organize aperitifs with background music that accompanies the excursions along the coast of Salento with stops in the most beautiful coves accessible only from the sea. It allows you to admire a pristine territory that ranges from free beaches to rocky cliffs, dotted with ancient coastal constructions.

“In Villanova di Ostuni, sailor Marco Rossato, a 44-year-old from Vicenza who has always loved sailing, in particular, who lost his legs in a motorcycle accident in 2001, has found a dock already equipped with a width and angle of inclination suitable for disabled people in wheelchairs and a team that is already used to accommodate sportsmen and special guests, this is the team involved in the project “Sea without barriers” along the coasts of Salento with Euphoria, the boat accessible to all.

To welcome Marco Rossato and Muttley, on the dock of the Marco Carani nautica, there were also representatives of the Navy League of Ostuni, of the Municipality, of the Coast Guard delegation of Villanova, members of the Lions club Ostuni Host and members of the Italian sailors. Friends have reserved special and crampy pampering for Muttley who has now become a social star.
The goal of the company, human as well as sports, is to let everyone know about his Tri Sail4All project (where Tri stands for trimaran but also for “tricolor”) promoted by the amateur sports association “I Timonieri Sbandati” of which Rossato is co-founder and promotes the idea that you can reach great goals even if you have a disability, that there are no limits at sea if you are prudent professionals and equipped with the right aids on the boat, unlike the mainland where instead It is necessary for the public body to deal with the elimination of barriers and ‘walls’ of all kinds. “
